Note: Stitch BNPL is now Stitch Pay Later. The product is the same, with a refreshed name.
Refunds on a Pay Later purchase need to start with the merchant you bought from, not with Stitch. Once the merchant approves the refund and processes it, Stitch updates your plan automatically.
How to get a refund
- Contact the merchant (the store you bought from) and request a refund following their normal returns process.
- Once the merchant processes the refund, we’ll receive a notification and update your Pay Later plan accordingly.
- If you’ve already paid an instalment, the refunded amount will be credited back to you. If you haven’t, the outstanding balance will be reduced and your available spend replenished.
How long does it take?
From the moment the merchant processes the refund, your plan usually updates within a few business days. The actual funds might back 3-12 working days to be returned to you, depending on your bank.
What if the merchant won’t refund me?
Refund decisions are between you and the merchant, and we can’t override them. If you’ve already paid us towards the plan, we’re still required to honour the credit agreement until the merchant tells us the refund is approved.
If you’ve been waiting more than two weeks after the merchant confirmed the refund, reach out to help@stitch.money with the order number and merchant name, and we’ll check from our side.
