You can close or delete your Stitch account at any time. What happens next depends on whether you've used Stitch Pay Later.
Closing vs deleting
Closing deactivates your account so it can no longer be used. Deleting also permanently removes the personal information associated with your account from our systems, and cannot be undone. If you ask us to delete your account, we treat it as a full removal request.
If you opened the account by mistake, or haven't used Pay Later
Contact Stitch support from your Stitch account, or email help@stitch.money, and let us know you'd like to close or delete it. We'll log the request and our team will action it.
If you've used Pay Later
Any active Pay Later plan must be settled first. Once there is no outstanding balance, we can proceed with closing or deleting the account.
How long it takes
Account deletions are processed by our team and can take up to 7 working days to complete. We'll send you a confirmation once it's done, and there's nothing further you need to do in the meantime.
What gets removed
When your account is deleted, your profile and the personal information associated with it are removed from our systems. Some records may be retained where we are legally required to keep them.
