You can close your Stitch account once you've settled any outstanding Pay Later balances. Here's how it works.
Before closing
To close your account, you'll need to:
- Have no active Pay Later plans. Every instalment must be fully paid up.
- Have no open refunds or disputes in progress.
If you're mid-plan, you can either let the plan run to completion or settle it early. See Can I pay off my Pay Later plans early?
How to close your account
Contact Stitch support from your Stitch account and request account closure. We'll confirm there's nothing outstanding, then close the account and send you confirmation.
What happens to your data
Stitch retains transaction and account records for the period required by South African financial regulations. If you'd like to know more about how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
Reopening or signing up again
A closed account can't be reopened. You're welcome to sign up again in the future, subject to the standard eligibility checks.
